Pauline Travers

Pauline has been a primary school teacher for many years but re-trained in Speech and Drama ten years ago by taking her LAMDA exams. She specialises in teaching speech and drama in preparation for LAMDA and Vanguard exams and also for the Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts.

Pauline currently works at Charlton Kings Infants' School and is renowned for teaching with puppets and magic tricks! Apart from teaching the reception class, she has led the very successful school choir and drama group and, as Artsmark co-ordinator, has recently gained the Artsmark Gold award for the school, for the third time in succession. Pauline also enjoys writing new materials for her students to perform and has written short plays, poems and choral pieces. In 2010, Pauline's Theatre Studio Students won The One Act Play Festival with her original musical, 'The Sun Queen'; She also won best director. In the Cheltenham Festival, her school drama group won the Choral Speaking section with her poem, 'Save the Bears.' A selection of 'Bear' poems are presently being illustrated for publication next year .
